The chlorogenic acid data encouraged the scientists to also test butylated hydroxyanisole, better known as BHA. Each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: butylated hydroxyanisole NF, citric acid monohydrate USP, croscarmellose sodium NF, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose USP, lactose monohydrate NF, magnesium stearate NF, microcrystalline cellulose NF, and propyl gallate NF. But manufacturers are not obligated to eliminate any ingredients--at least one ingredient identified as unsafe by CIR, hydroxyanisole, is still used. |
