hepatocyte growth factor

hepatocyte growth factor (HGF),
a potent mitogen and inducer of hepatocyte proliferation, produced in the liver by cells other than hepatic cells and in many other organs by cells of the mesenchyme. It is also multifunctional and regulates cell growth and motility.
