High levels of hemoglobin F had previously been found in infants born to mothers with chronic low oxygen resulting from severe asthma, anemia or heart failure. University of Wisconsin at Madison scientists report they have found elevated levels of hemoglobin F (fetal) in the blood of infants whose cause of death was listed as SIDS. |
