A schizophrenia, usually starting at puberty, characterized by foolish mannerisms, senseless laughter, delusions, hallucinations, and regressive behavior. Also called disorganized schizophrenia, hebephrenic schizophrenia.

hebephrenia, hebephrenic schizophrenia.
hebephrenia (hē´bfrē´nē),
n a form of schizophrenia in which the individual behaves like a child (e.g., inappropriate laughter and silliness).
