A pregnant woman with one or more previous pregnancies.

Etymology: L, multus + gravidus, pregnancy
a woman who has been pregnant more than once. Compare multipara, primigravida.

a woman pregnant for at least the third time; called also plurigravida.
grand multigravida a woman who has had six or more previous pregnancies.
