1. sphere.
2. a spherical structure.
4. one of the encapsulated globular masses containing bacilli, seen in smears of lepromatous leprosy lesions.

globus hyste´ricus  subjective sensation of a lump in the throat.
globus pal´lidus  the smaller and more medial part of the lentiform nucleus.
