globulins

A group of blood proteins that include the family of IMMUNOGLOBULINS (Ig) or antibodies, comprising IgG, IgM, IgE, IgA, and IgD; Factor VIII, the antihaemophilia globulin; antilymphocytic globulin; thyroxine-binding globulin; fibrinogen; prothrombin; vitamin D-binding globulin; and many others. Gamma globulins are the most strongly positively charged of the blood globulins and most of them are immunoglobulins.

Globulins
