Q. Hello .. my name is Cristine and i have the depression syndrom .. i am depressed most of the time or at least half of the time i have no reason to smile , as much as i see it .. that's pretty depressing ,is it not ? i am 35 years old , i live in the states and i am not married .. i live alone . my parents passed away 5 years ago ... i am working in a day care and my life hasn't changed dramatically during the last 2 years .. so i consider my life boring and without a special remarks and activities ... how do i change my life from the basic ? can anyone help me ???

A. Cristine, you must get out and do something just for you. something that you may have always wanted to do but never got around to it. It's not too late to do some of the things you loved as a teenager. I was in a similar state in my thirties and on advice of my doctor signed up for adult-tap dance lessons at a local community college. I had so much fun and it picked up my spirits so that I looked forward each week to going. I kept it up for 3 years at which point I'd gone as far as I could go. I then decided to take art classes, another long lost desire. If you like to sing investigate local choirs or as I did Sweet Adelines, a women's Barbershop Organization which was my real salvation. I travelled to competitions with them, learned so much about singing, harmonizing and performing. It is a great hobby and the wonderful friends I made helped me through many difficult times.
You do not have to be an excellent singer as long as you can carry a tune they will find a place for you
