This longitudinal study examines the development of generativity ('care and concern for the next generation') in late adolescence/ early adulthood, specifically within the contexts of parental and community involvement.
Generativity is connected to the theoretical writings of Erik Erikson (1964) and is defined as caring for the next generation.
