funiculus /fu·nic·u·lus/ (fu-nik´u-lus) pl. funic´uli   [L.] a cord; a cordlike structure or part.funic´ular
anterior funiculus of spinal cord  the white substance of the spinal cord lying on either side between the anterior median fissure and the ventral root.
lateral funiculus 
1. the white substance of the spinal cord lying on either side between the dorsal and ventral roots.
2. the continuation into the medulla oblongata of all the fiber tracts of the lateral funiculus of the spinal cord with exception of the lateral pyramidal tract.
posterior funiculus of spinal cord  the white substance of the spinal cord lying on either side between the posterior median sulcus and the dorsal root.
funiculus sperma´ticus  spermatic cord.

fu·nic·u·lus (fy-nky-ls, f-) or fu·ni·cle (fyn-kl)
n. pl. fu·nic·u·li (-l) or fu·ni·cles
1. A slender cordlike strand or band, especially a bundle of nerve fibers in a nerve trunk.
2. Any of three major divisions of white matter in the spinal cord, consisting of fasciculi.
3. The umbilical cord.

a division of the white matter of the spinal cord, consisting of fasciculi or fiber tracts.

dorsal funiculus
the white substance of the spinal cord lying on either side between the dorsal median septum and the dorsal root.
lateral funiculus, funiculus lateralis
the lateral mass of fibers on either side of the spinal cord, between the dorsolateral and ventrolateral sulci.
