forward-leaning posture,
a respiratory therapy technique intended to reduce or eliminate the involvement of the accessory muscles of respiration in ambulatory patients with breathing difficulty. It involves walking while bent forward in a slightly stooped posture. For patients unable to tolerate functional walking, a special high walker with wheels may be used.
