acquired soft-tissue deformity of longitudinal axis of midtarsal joint, showing as inversion of forefoot relative to rearfoot when subtalar joint is in neutral and midtarsal joint is maximally pronated about both its axes; characterized by spongy resistance to a pronatory force applied to the dorsum of the talonavicular joint; forefoot supinatus is the endpoint of many years of compensation for excessive subtalar joint pronation (eversion)
