Patient discussion about worth.

Q. My hubby is 34 and he has lost half of his total hair. Is Chinese Medicine worth to give a try? My hubby is 34 and he has lost half of his total hair. We have approached the doctor and he has prescribed him some medicines to check on the hair fall. Unfortunately, the medicines did not work for him and again the doctor has changed the medicines. This year he was put on four different medicines but with no results. Now I doubt frequent change of medicines also adds to the problem. He is totally frustrated with the system and wants to give try with Chinese Medicines. Is Chinese Medicine worth to give a try?

A. i tried several treatments...regular...alternative...anything. but i have to say that it may have slowed down the hair fall a bit- but didn't stop it. i came to the conclusion that you just can't beat genetics :)

Q. Is the dead sea really worth the flight all the way to Israel for psoriasis treatment? I've been hearing from lots of people about it lately. They say the mud and the salt there is a better treatment than anything else. Is that true?

A. The treatment in the dead sea is very very good and recommended for psoriatic patients, if other treatments don't help. It is not the mud and minerals that do the effect, it is mostly the phototherapy- meaning the high exposure to sun, that in your case is very helpful. It is also the stress relief of going on vacation for a few weeks that is known to cause improvement. I think it is worth the money - you are treating your body and soul at the same time.
