Skin Multiple, discrete keratotic follicular papules
present over face, neck, trunk, bilateral upper and lower limbs with flexural predominance (Figure 2).
On examination, she was a healthy middle-aged lady having erythematous, lichenoid follicular papules
present over forearms (Figure 1), back and temple area of face causing patches of hair loss.
The follicular papules
are usually found on toddlers or infants who are especially "squirmy" and constantly uncomfortable.

The condition is characterized by fibrotic, follicular papules
, usually at the nape of the neck and on the occipital scalp.
4,5 Other associated features which may occur include keratosis pilaris, hyperkeratotic follicular papules
on the sites of friction, hair abnormalities and hyperhidrosis of the palms and soles.
A second morphologic variant has been described with follicular papules
and pustules accompanying linear burrows.
10] Edematous, erythematous and pruritic follicular papules
are characteristic of such eruption.
PRP is characterized by small follicular papules
that coalesce into orange, scaly plaques, palmoplantar keratoderma, diffuse scaling of the scalp, and frequent progression to exfoliative erythroderma with characteristic islands of normal skin.
Phrynoderma occurs usually in children and adolescents and is characterized by hyperkeratotic, follicular papules
with keratotic plug distributed over elbows, knees, extensor extremities and buttocks, though any part of the body may be involved.
