flurbiprofen
[floo͡rbi′profen]
a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug, administered orally in the treatment of arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, bursitis, tendinitis, soft tissue injuries, and dysmenorrhea. The sodium salt is applied topically to the conjunctiva to inhibit miosis during, and inflammation after, ophthalmic surgery.
