Flu vaccine A vaccine recommended for those at high risk for serious complications from influenza: > age 65; Pts with chronic diseases of heart, lung or kidneys, DM, immunosuppression, severe anemia, nursing home and other chronic-care residents, children and teenagers taking aspirin therapy–and who may thus be at risk for developing Reye syndrome after influenza infection, and those in close or frequent contact with anyone at high risk; persons with egg allergy should not receive IV.
