floor (flor) the inferior inner surface of a hollow organ or other space.

floor feeding
used in large-scale pig-raising enterprises where many pigs must be fed during a short period. Requires that pigs be trained to defecate only in their dunging area and not recommended before pigs are 100 days of age. Probably increases the chances of disease spread through fecal/oral cycling of pathogens, even in minimal disease herds.
