| Electromyographic activity was recorded using 4 pairs of preamplified surface electrodes ([double dagger])--2 pairs for the wrist flexors (flexor carpi radialis [FCR] and flexor carpi ulnaris [FCU]) and 2 pairs for the wrist extensors (extensor carpi radialis brevis [ECRB] and extensor digitorum communis [EDC]). 10th, 50th, and 90th percentiles of the APDF of the RMS EMG signal expressed as a percentage of MVC from the right and left ECU, flexor carpi radialis (FCR), and flexor carpi ulnaris (FCU) muscles. Injected muscle groups included the deltoid muscle in 2 patients, the biceps brachii muscle in 23 patients, the wrist-forearm musculature (eg, pronator teres, flexor carpi radialis, flexor carpi ulnaris muscles) in 24 patients, and the thenar muscles in 18 patients. |
