five star rating

A term borrowed from the lay argot referring to anything that is regarded as being of the highest possible quality, based on a five-star system of rating. This can lead to confusion in the UK, as the NHS once rated its trusts on a 3-star system from 0 (i.e., very bad) to 3 (very good), based on various objective parameters.
