the plane of the right hepatic vein that separates the right lateral and medial divisions of the right (part of the) liver.
right portal fissure An obsolete term for an anteroposterior intrahepatic plane defined by the course of the right hepatic vein, which separates the anterior and posterior segments of the right lobe of the liver from the middle segment of the right lobe.
