(1) An older term for lymphoma or Hodgkin lymphoma. 
(2) A term in current use for any lymphoproliferative disorder that affects non-human vertebrates, such as cats, horses, dogs, rats, mice and frogs.

n a malignant disease of the lymphoid tissues characterized by proliferation of atypical lymphocytes and their localization in various parts of the body. The jaws may be the sites of lymphosarcomas.

lymphosarcoma

a general term applied to malignant neoplastic disorders of lymphoid tissue—a diffuse lymphoma. The clinical signs of the disease depend largely on the location of the tumors and their effects on the invaded and adjoining organs, e.g. alimentary, extranodal, multicentric. Also may be composed of particular types of lymphoid cells, e.g. B-cell lymphosarcoma.
