It's normal to find several hairs on the pillow each morning, and when pulling the hair, it's considered normal to remain with up to 5 hairs in your hand. Actually we lose several hundreds of mature hairs every day. If you suspect you are losing an abnormal amount of hair, you may want to consult a doctor e.g. dermatologist (doctors that treat skin, hair and nail conditions). It may also be wise to make sure you don't suffer from any nutritional deficiency, e.g. B12, iron, folic acid, zinc etc. You can read more here: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/hairdiseasesandhairloss.html Q. I'm having trouble falling asleep. Please give me your tips & advice as it takes me 2 to 3 hours every night. I read a book before shutting off my light as it helps tire my eyes, otherwise I'd be awake all night. I take Amitryptiline for my Fibromyalgia before going to bed which is also supposed to help my sleep but I don't find it's helping much. Maybe you have a routine or a secret ingredient which I could try. I have never taken sleeping pills but I may have to resort to something as I am frustrated. I also suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome but that is something that wakes me up through the night. All ideas will be welcome except the counting sheep one as I've already been there, done that. Thanks all. A. Do I relate! Tips I tried was going to bed at same time, if I didn't fall asleep within 45 minutes get up out of bed and sit, try not to have bright lights on when preparing to relax before bed. Try not to exercise 2 hours or less before you plan to go to bed. There is a tea called sleepy time tea that is very relaxing and some people find it helpful to have a cup of hot tea an hour before bed. This can be found in your grocery store flavored tea section.
