exorcism

Paranormal
A ritual intended to terminate the presence or trespassing of a non-material entity or spirit in a place (a “haunting”) or a person (a “possession”). Exorcisms are performed by command or persuasion, through rituals, special prayers or symbolism, in the Roman Catholic Church by a priest with authorisation from the ordinary or other higher authority.
