CCL20

A gene on chromosome 2q33-q37 that encodes a chemotactic factor that attracts lymphocytes and neutrophils, but not monocytes. CCL20 inhibits proliferation of myeloid stem cells in colony formation assays, and may be involved in proliferation and activity of mucosal lymphoid tissues (e.g., BALT, MALT, SALT) by attracting lymphocytes and dendritic cells towards epithelial cells.
