exemplar site

exemplar site

A UK government and NHS term of art for a hospital Trust which is not necessarily leading in all areas of practice, nor one which has embedded “best practice” universally, but which is rather a site that has been through a detailed analysis and improvement process, supported by a logistics expert, and has made significant progress in certain areas or generated solutions to identified problems.

Exemplar site responsibilities
• Host visits from other interested Trusts.
• Broker contact with other parties, where appropriate.
• Make available documentation and models used as part of the pilot process.
• Encourage Trusts making contact to feed back their experiences by applying any of the learning/outputs to the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency.
