the dose at which erythema of the skin is produced by irradiation with ultraviolet, gamma, or x-rays.

erythema threshold

An obsolete semi-quantitative indicator of a dose of therapeutic radiation—i.e., that which is necessary to induce erythema at the treatment site.

erythema threshold

The stage of ultraviolet skin injury in which erythema of the skin due to radiation begins.
