Etymology: Gk, ergon, work, therapeia, treatment
the use of physical activity and exercise in the treatment of disease. By extension the therapy includes any procedure that increases the blood supply to a diseased or injured part, such as massage or various types of hot baths. ergotherapeutic, adj.
