Burns (1997) reported that there are two predominant models for the organizational design of large medical practice groups--the equity model and the independent practice association (IPA) model.
In this person's view, a view shared by many influential thinkers, this form of family is being superseded by a more acceptable model, the so-called Gender Equity Model.
