ma·nu·bri·um of ster·num[TA]
the upper segment of the sternum, a flattened, roughly triangular bone, occasionally fused with the body of the sternum, forming with it a slight angle, the sternal angle.
episternum/epi·ster·num/ (-ster´num) a bone present in reptiles and monotremes that may be represented as part of the manubrium, or first piece of the sternum.
