a diverticulum which originates just above the cardioesophageal junction and usually protrudes to the right side of the lower mediastinum.

We report the case of a 59-year-old male patient with Parkinsonism diagnosed with a large, symptomatic epiphrenic diverticulum and discuss the surgical treatment performed.
