Effect of subepineurial dehydroepiandrosterone treatment on healing of transected nerves repaired with the epineurial sleeve technique.
Great efforts have so far been made to treat amputation neuromas with various surgical procedures, including ligation, epineurial barriers, implantation into bone, centro-central repair, nerve translocation, electrocautery, and silicone caps.
We accomplished this by using a volume conduction model that includes the effect of an off-center in an isotropic nerve bundle surrounded by an epineurial sheath lying in a saline bath.
