CCL26

A gene on chromosome 7q11.23 that encodes eotaxin-3, a CC-type cytokine, which is characterised by two adjacent cysteines and, as with all cytokines, is involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. CCL26 binds CCR3 and is chemotactic for eosinophils and basophils.
