a complex of neurological symptoms produced by invasion of the central nervous system by Gnathostoma spinigerum, including severe nerve root pain, followed by paralysis of extremities and sudden sensorial impairment, accompanied by increased number of eosinophils in the cerebrospinal fluid, which is often bloody or yellowish.
