The most widely used of the Bach flower remedies, which is composed of clematis, impatiens, rock rose, cherry plum, Star-of-Bethlehem (the original formula contained the first three herbs; the last two were added by his followers). Its enthusiasts recommend its use after physical or mental trauma: it is said to have a tranquilising effect in acute situations, including anxiety, asthma, bereavement, hysteria, labour pains, migraines and physical trauma; topically, it may be useful for bruises, burns, cuts, animal or insect bites.
