macula, ectopia of the Anomaly characterized by displacement of the macula, which can be either of acquired or congenital origin. It may follow some forms of retinal scarring, retinal detachment surgery, previous inflammation, etc. It may result in reduced acuity, metamorphopsia or strabismus.
