Extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) A group of side effects associated with antipsychotic medications. EPS include parkinsonism, akathisia, dystonia, and tardive dyskinesia. Mentioned in: Schizophrenia electrophysiologic study (EPS), an invasive electrodiagnostic or manometric procedure that uses electrode catheters to pace the heart and potentially induce arrhythmias.
