roaring the stertor in respiration caused by air passing through a stenosed larynx. The commonest cause is laryngeal hemiplegia in the horse. The disease is incompatible with fast exercise. The cause of the basic lesion, degeneration of fibers in the left recurrent laryngeal nerve, is unknown.
