action: inhibits gastric motility by acting on muscosal receptors responsible for peristalsis;
use: simple diarrhea.

n (Dilantin sodium), a drug used for the control of convulsive grand mal and petit mal epileptic seizures; often associated with the production of a profuse gingival hyperplasia. See also phenytoin sodium.
