derotation brace [dē′rōtā′shən] a customized orthosis that provides stability at the knee joint. It consists of a single-joint hinged bar on one side and a rotating dial pad on the opposite side. The rotating pad can be placed on either the medial or the lateral side, depending on the location of the primary instability.
