Dentigerous cysts, also known as follicular cysts, are associated with the crown of an unerupted or impacted tooth. However, findings on computed tomography (CT) were compatible with a dentigerous cyst in the left maxillary sinus (figure 1). Odontogenic keratocysts are dentigerous or primordial in origin, lined with keratinized epithelium, and more prevalent in the posterior portions of the body and ramus of the mandible. |
