darshanam (där·shäˑ·n n in Ayurveda, observation; the book that provides a fundamental basis for the eight classical methods—urine, pulse, tongue, feces, voice and speech, assessment of the eyes, evaluation by touch, and general physical assessment used throughout the examination.
