/cys·tec·ta·sia/ (sis″tek-ta´zhah) slitting of the membranous portion of the urethra and dilation of the bladder neck for extraction of a calculus.

bladder distension

An increase in bladder volume (> 500 ml), which typically occurs postoperatively.

Clinical findings
Urinary retention, pain, restlessness.
 
Diagnosis
Ultrasound.
