cystadenocarcinoma /cys·tad·e·no·car·ci·no·ma/ (sis-tad″ĕ-no-kahr″sĭ-no´mah) adenocarcinoma with tumor-lined cystic cavities, usually in the ovaries.

A malignant tumor derived from glandular tissue, in which secretions are retained and accumulate in cysts.

cystadenocarcinoma
[sis′tədē′nəkär′sinō′mə]
a type of pancreatic tumor that evolves from a mucus cystadenoma. Clinical features include epigastric pain and a palpable abdominal mass that may also be seen by ultrasonography or computed tomographic scan. It is treated by surgical removal of the tumor or total pancreatectomy.

Cystadenocarcinoma is a rare malignant neoplasm of the salivary gland.
MECs must be distinguished from necrotizing sialometaplasia, chronic sialadenitis, cystadenoma, cystadenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma, clear cell carcinoma (not otherwise specified), and metastatic tumors.
14) The only exception to this behavior is seen with tumors that have a predominantly papilliferous arrangement; these tumors are more aggressive and would be better classified as papillary cystadenocarcinomas.
