The changes and amendments in the four Commission Regulations (EU) No 36/2014 (1), (EU) No 51/2014 (2), (EU) No 61/2014 (3) and (EU) No 79/2014 (4) are related to the Maximum Residues Levels (MRLs) for pesticides aminopyralid, chlorantraniliprole, cyflufenamid, mepiquat, metalaxyl-M, propamocarb, pyriofenone, quinoxyfen, dimethomorph, indoxacarb, pyraclostobin, cyromazine, fenpropidin, formetanate, oxamyl, tebuconazole, bifenazate, chlorpropham, esfenvalerate, fludioxonil and thiobencarb in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin imported into the EU.
The changes of MRLs for cyromazine and fenpropidin in all products, formetanate for all products except table and wine grapes, tomatoes, aubergines, courgettes, melons, pumpkins and watermelons, oxamyl for all products except peppers including tebuconazole in wine and all order products except apples, pears, cherries, peaches, table and wine grapes and Chinese cabbage in Commission Regulation (EU) No 61/2014 of 24 January 2014 shall apply from 14 August 2014.
It also occurs as a breakdown product of the pesticide cyromazine
In one study, Taylor used cyromazine to control immature stable flies.
Scientists found that a single application of granular cyromazine sprinkled on a hay-feeding site reduced the number of adult stable flies emerging by 97 percent.
They verified, under laboratory conditions, that the chemicals clorfluazuron, teflubenzuron, triflumuron, cyromazine
, benomyl, chlorothalonil, mancozeb, iprodione, dimetomorf, tebufenozide and pirimicarb were selective to the two lineages of T.
candidate at Carleton University in Ottawa, suspects the insecticide cyromazine, as melamine is a known breakdown product.
Scientists still are not entirely sure how melamine could move from farm fields to formula, but have suggested "that milk from cattle exposed to cyromazine may contain melamine.
Washington, June 4 (ANI): Scientists suspect that the insecticide cyromazine
may be responsible for the presence of melamine, a toxic constituent of plastics and other materials, in infant formulas purchased from stores in Canada.
In some species, alleles resistant to specific toxic chemicals, such as ethyl alcohol, endrin, purine, potassium sorbate, dieldrin, cyromazine
, and propoxur have been selected.
Nitarsone, Chromium Picolinate, Vc-2-ester tripolyphosphate, Closantel, Diclazuril and Cyromazine
is the only pesticide up for re-registration this year, but we will monitor any changes to pest regulations including a potential revision of the Worker Protection Safety Standards.
