Cylindroma

cylindroma

A benign skin adnexal tumour, seen on the face, trunk and extremities, which has apocrine differentiation. Cylindromas may be solitary (and sporadic or multiple) with an autosomal dominant hereditary pattern. Cylindromas are often associated with trichoepitheliomas, especially on the scalp (turban tumour), first develop in adolescence and rarely undergo malignant degeneration.
