cuneus /cu·ne·us/ (ku´ne-us) pl. cu´nei   [L.] a wedge-shaped lobule on the medial aspect of the occipital lobe of the cerebrum.
cu·ne·us (kyn-s)
n. pl. cu·ne·i (-n-)
The region of the medial aspect of the occipital lobe of each cerebral hemisphere that is bounded by the parieto-occipital sulcus and the calcarine sulcus.

a wedge-shaped region of the cerebral cortex lying between the parietooccipital and postcal-carine sulci on the mesial surface of the occipital lobe.
