coupling /coup·ling/ (kup´ling)
1. the joining together of two things.
2. in genetics, the occurrence on the same chromosome in a double heterozygote of the two mutant alleles of interest.
3. in cardiology, serial occurrence of a normal heartbeat followed closely by a premature beat.

n.
1. The act of uniting sexually.
3. The configuration of two different mutant genes on the same chromosome, leading to the likelihood they will both either be inherited or omitted in the next generation.

Etymology: L, copula, bonding
1 the act of coming together, joining, or pairing.
2 (in genetics) the situation in linked inheritance in which the nonalleles of two or more mutant genes are located on the same chromosome and are close enough that they are likely to be inherited together.
3 (in radiation therapy) the efficiency of transfer of power from an applicator to the treatment site. Compare repulsion. See also cis configuration.
4 (in cardiology) the regular occurrence of a premature beat.

coupling
1. in an animal's conformation, the distance between the top of the scapulae to the hip joints.
2. in ultrasonography, the transmission of sounds from the transducer into the tissues being examined. A medium such as a gel or mineral oil is used to exclude air from between the two surfaces.

Q. I drink liquor a lot maybe 4x a week and I love drinking but after a couple days my veins star to hurt...Y? It runs in the familly alcohol and bud but I wish I could go a whole year withought poppin bottles.. what will be perscibed to a alki?

A. your veins start to hurt cause you drink to much so try cutting off a little bit and see how it turns out

A. go see a infertility dr. to see who can and who cant produce,maybe invetro infertilization might be the option.the dr. will heip you plan,if that dont work try adoption.but like i always say practice makes perfection...

Q. i lost a lot of hearing in my ears a couple of years ago,and i had a mri done,the mri said i had ETD, the ETD caused my eushation tube to close,its very uncomfortable,i dont feel the wind or air in my ears no more,i also feel fluid behind my ear drum,i lost a lot of inner hearing,its hard to hear my own voice,and nothing sounds clear,i also feel presser behind my ear drum from the fluid,i went to several doctors for this and i tryed medican and nothing worked,i tryed steriods for the influmation in my ears,that didnt work,i asked many doctors to drain my ears and give me venteling tubes,no doctor will do it,is there anyone out there that has the same ear problem that i do,and the doctors wont give them the tubes?why are the doctors not puting tubes in ears anymore?is it just me.or is everyone getting turned down for the tubes in there ears?i just feel so alone in this does anyone have the same problem and if they do could you share your experence,it would be nice to talk to someone that has the ETD ear problem like me,im in content discomfort,and i dont understand why nobody will help.
