an elastic band connecting the tip of the corniculate (Santorini) cartilage and the lamina of the cricoid cartilage and continuing into the pharyngeal mucosa covering the cricoid lamina.

cricopharyngeal ligament

A ligamentous bundle between the upper and posterior border of the cricoid cartilage and the anterior wall of the pharynx.
