conus arteriosus

conus /co·nus/ (ko´nus) pl. co´ni   [L.]
1. a cone or cone-shaped structure.
2. posterior staphyloma of the myopic eye.

conus arterio´sus  infundibulum; the anterosuperior portion of the right ventricle of the heart, at the entrance to the pulmonary trunk.
conus medulla´ris  the cone-shaped lower end of the spinal cord, at the level of the upper lumbar vertebrae.
conus termina´lis  conus medullaris.
co´ni vasculo´si  lobules of epididymis.

conus ar·te·ri·o·sus (är-tîr-ss)
n.
A conical extension of the right ventricle in the heart, from which the pulmonary artery originates. Also called arterial cone, infundibulum.
