1. to bring to a common center; to gather at one point.
2. to increase the strength by diminishing the bulk of, as of a liquid; to condense.
3. a drug or other preparation that has been strengthened by evaporation of its nonactive parts.

While Murphy's comments are succinct, "for the sake of concentrating upon what is generally agreed to be the meaning," he still effectively "provokes the reader to a more aggressive analysis of the book" as only a master can.
For this group of individuals, the Internet in general, and WebTV specifically, can be a wonderful resource, eliminating the barrier of appearance and concentrating upon one's ability to express oneself through writing.
